The railroad, stations etc.
After Vara the railroad made a turn south - it so called "Hovskroken" before it set direction again towards Skara. This is a very rich and fertile earth and is dominated by it's many farms. Near the station of Kålltorps is three larger estates located; Blombacka, (3 km east of the station), Stora Kålltorp (2 km west of the station) and Kilagården (2,5 km west of the station). All three owner had been very active when the railroad company was started and they are all share holders in the company. The station is also called "the landowner station". |

Skara were, beside Göteborg, the largest station on VGJ and all maintenance on the railcars and for most of the engines and coaches were provided here. |
