Kvarnabo station was build as a small station (class 4 of 4) when the railroad was build and opened in the year 1900. An extra freight room was added in 1943. The stationen was never manned with a dispatcher, only a clerk. For a long period the Post Office was located in the station.

The Station building: AGJ have renovate the building into the appearance of the 1940-ies.

Outhouse: En small wooden buildingsom ursprungligen contain a stable for a cow, toilett and a small storehouse.

Refill water on the engine

At the station of Kvarnabo it was a station for refilling water on the trains between Göteborg and Skara. For this purpose there were a water tower located at the station. The tower was replaced in the 1930-ies.

We refill water on every northbound trains. Please come forwards and take a look.
We refill about 1500 liters of water every time. This is enough for a return trip, which is about 22 km. And we will use about 125 kg cole per 10 km.
